Grounded Kiwi Review: Do Earthing Products Actually Do Anything?
We tested Grounded Kiwi's earthing products for build quality and everyday usability, and looked at what the underlying earthing claims are actually based on.

Earthing (or 'grounding') products carry health claims that go well beyond what's rigorously established in mainstream research, so we approached Grounded Kiwi's products from two angles: are they well-made, and what should you realistically expect from the underlying claims.
Build quality
The mats and sheets felt well-constructed, and a basic conductivity check with a multimeter confirmed the grounding connection worked as described — the product does what it claims electrically.
What the science actually supports
Earthing's broader health claims remain an area of limited and disputed research — worth going in with realistic expectations rather than treating it as an established medical intervention.
Everyday usability
Comfort was good enough to use overnight without noticing it, and setup was simple as long as you have a properly grounded outlet nearby.
Our verdict
Grounded Kiwi makes a well-built product regardless of where you land on the underlying earthing science — a reasonable low-risk try if the concept interests you, without over-relying on the health claims.
What we liked
- + Build quality of the mats and sheets felt genuinely well-made
- + Conductivity tested as expected with a basic multimeter check
- + Comfortable enough to use during sleep without noticing it
Where it falls short
- − Scientific evidence for earthing's health claims remains limited and disputed
- − Requires a grounded outlet, which not every home has readily accessible
